"My Visit To India" - By John Chung

“My visit to India ....” by JOHN

In my trip to India, I came to a strong realization that to a large extent we have relationships in the West with material things, and in the communities that Paul J.
Sumanth Ministries has reached out to, people have relationships mostly with each other.  I found the profound sense of community that people had with each other and with the Lord, and wondered whether our progress in the West has taken away the community we all quietly long for. Members of the Cornerstone Prayer Fellowship Church and members of the churches that Paul J. Sumanth Ministries built in the outskirts of Guntur made me think of the early Christians who shared a strong bond with each other.

In Karunya Orphanage of 20 or so children, I saw a family led by two loving middle aged ladies provide a home where the children truly found a home, and the care and love they shared with each other would be the envy of any family in the West.

Being a Christian seemed to be a much more of a deliberate undertaking in India.  God and Jesus are real, and here and now; faith seemed much more black and white to these Christians.

I hope that Paul J. Sumanth Ministries continues to grow and impact people in India by bringing fellowship and faith to adults and care and support to its many children. --  by John  (Feb. 2007).
